Vision: To build a team of passionate mappers who transform the community through Open Street Map
Mappers For Life is a Youth Mappers Chapter found in Uganda Christian University, Mbale University College, promoting community mapping and awareness using Open Geo-spatial data available for Open Street Map
All activities are set up around the global OpenStreetMap (OSM) project. OSM is a map and database whereby the stored geographic data is owned by the contributors themselves: allowing everyone to view, create, use this information for free, in new and innovative ways.
WE DON'T JUST BUILD MAPS. WE BUILD MAPPERS.
Capitalizing on web-based open geospatial technologies, our mission is to cultivate a generation of young leaders to create resilient communities and to define their world by mapping it.
Teachers, students, community groups, map lovers, in the US and around the world, join together to celebrate geography and make maps with OpenStreetMap, the free and openly editable map of the world. The OSM Geo Week event was held on 18th November at UCU.
